CPLD

Un apparecchio programmabile complesso (CPLD) è un circuito integrato che può essere configurato per svolgere funzioni logiche arbitrarie. In genere viene configurato mediante una serie speciale di pin di accesso definiti porta JTAG, acronimo del Joint Test Action Group che ha definito il protocollo, ma i metodi di programmazione sono di proprietà e possono variare a seconda del produttore. I CPLD non sono volatili, ovvero conservano il loro stato programmato anche quando viene tolta l'alimentazione.
