Linee di ritardo
Le linee di ritardo sono utilizzate per inserire un ritardo molto preciso nel percorso di un segnale. È disponibile un'ampia varietà di linee di ritardo. Alcune producono un ritardo fisso, spesso con più punti di contatto, mentre altre producono un ritardo che può essere regolato da una parola di controllo di tensione analogica o digitale. Le linee di ritardo regolabili sono un componente critico di alcuni circuiti di sincronizzazione del clock quali Delay Locked Loop (DLL) o Synchronous Mirror Delay (SMD). Le prestazioni di una linea di ritardo regolabile sono in genere definite in base alla linearità, che descrive la precisione con la quale il ritardo traccia il segnale di controllo.
