Capacitor Accessories

Capacitor accessories are used to mount capacitors securely. There are many accessories available starting from mounting clamps, clips, nylon cap nuts, brackets, insulating terminal boot, insulating washer just to name a few. These accessories are available in different sizes to meet the selected capacitor dimensions and include:

Vertical mounting clamps, which may be used to mount any cylindrical capacitor with a 1 inch to 3 inches diameter that is to be mounted in a vertical position. Material thickness is .035 inch.

Horizontal mounting clips are designed to retain capacitors. Clips have phosphate and oil finish. Material thickness is .016 to .020 inches

Mounting brackets for oval capacitors are end mount footed brackets, side mount footed brackets, wrap around brackets and insulating terminal boots.

Mounting brackets for round capacitors are 2 footed and 3 footed mounting brackets and wrap around brackets. Brackets are fixed using screws and nuts.

Capacitors known as motor start capacitors use brackets and end caps as accessories. Computer grade capacitors have screw terminals and clamps as mounting hardware. Brackets and clamps usually are zinc plated.

Nylon nuts are used for mounting insulated studs. Ring clips are primarily used for upright mounting of screw terminal and photoflash capacitors. The ring clips are corrosion protected.
