Overview
The RACxx-K Series of Low-Cost AC/DC Converters
RACxx-K series of low-cost AC/DC converters Their ultra-low standby power consumption paired with low cost makes these converters ideal for Smart Home, IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. These series of converters are compact in size ranging in 1” x 1” to 1” x 2” footprints. They are energy efficient with efficiencies as high as 86% with no-load power consumption. The RACxx-K series also possesses a wide range of regulated output voltages ranging from 3.3VDC to 48VDC and offer up to 3kVAC of isolation.
The modules include a Class A or B filter and are EMC compliant without the need for external exponents. They are short circuit, overload and overvoltage protected which allows them to meet international AV, ITE, industrial, household certifications.
Their ultra-low standby power consumption paired with low cost makes these converters ideal for Smart Home, IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. RECOM offers compact sizes for easy installation for both on-board and off-board solutions. These AC/DC modules feature efficiencies as high as 86%, are short circuit protected and offer up to 3 kVAC of isolation. The series also possesses a wide range of regulated output voltages ranging from 3.3VDC to 48VDC.

Cost effective, highly efficient 5W-20W modules ideal for sensors, actuators and control panels
RECOM’s RAC05-K, RAC15-K and RAC20-K come in 1” x 1” and 1” x 2” footprints. The series provide a universal mains input range of 85 VAC up to 264 VAC and offers modules with 5 VDC, 12 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC outputs, with the RAC05-K also offering a 3.3VDC output .The RAC15-K and RAC20-K have a broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. They are internationally certified for industrial, AV, ITE, and household.

3.5W-10W with 277VAC
AC/DC converters able to accept input voltages from 85 VAC up to 277 VAC
RECOM’s RAC3.5-K/277, RAC04-K/277, RAC05-K/277 and RAC10-K/277 series were developed with enhanced performance capabilities suitable for low power industrial applications requiring input voltages of 85 VAC up to 305VAC. The series provide high efficiency over the entire load range with an optimized standby mode to reduce power consumption. Additionally, the RAC10-K/277 can boast a 140% peak power capability making it suitable for high start-up currents or nonlinear loads in process automation.
They have wide operating temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C, are overvoltage and overcurrent protected, and EMC compliant to EN55022 Class B without the need of any external components. They are also internationally certified for industrial, domestic, and ITE.
All of the series are compact in size with the RAC3.5-K/277 with only a 1.05” x 1.25” footprint and the RAC05-K/227 and RAC10K/277 with a footprint of 1” x 2”.

5W with 480VAC
5W AC/DC converters for industrial input voltages of up to 480 VAC
The RAC05-K/480 series of 5 W AC/DC modules are specially designed for harsh industrial and outdoor mains conditions. These PCB-mount converters are rated to OVC III conditions from 100 VAC to 480 VAC nominal input lines with phase-to-phase or single-phase operation without any external components needed. The modules support an operating temperature range from -40°C to +80°C and come with fully protected outputs for EMC class A and B compliance. They are international safety certified for industrial, domestic, and ITE as well as household standards. All of these features make the RAC05-K/480 series an ideal fit for integration not only in Industry 4.0 solutions but also for smart grid, renewable energy, smart metering, and IoT applications.
